The Project Promoter (the twist!)

Who: David Turnbull

The Project: Adventures of a Barefoot Geek is a blog and podcast focused on living a simple and deliberate life, aided by modern technologies and gadgets, or as the slogan reads: “Living Life with a Touch of Geekery”. Its focus is like a cross between DumbLittleMan.com, LifeHacker.com and the geekier posts of FourHourWorkWeek.com, with a touch of ZenHabits.net in there for good measure.

Who: Cherie Ve Ard

The Project: I’m working a series of articles that we call ‘Answers to Common Excuses‘.  It addresses something we commonly run into when folks find out about our full time location independent nomadic lifestyle and they express that we’re living their dream.

Often times they have some excuse that is holding them back from exploring it themselves – so we’re tackling all of the common ones we’ve heard and offering different perspectives to look at the challenge from. So far, we’ve addressed Jobs/Career, Affordability, Pets, Environmental Impact, Having Too Much Stuff and Family.  We aim to both use ourselves as examples, as well as profile others in our community who have faced the challenges and succeeded.

Thanks to all of you who took part this time. The next Location Independent Blog Carnival (With A Twist!) will be held on 23rd October with the deadline for submissions on 19th October. Submit your articles & projects for the next carnival here >>>

mmmh – that website (Adventures of a barefoot geek) does not pass my work firewall although most of adventure/freelance, etc. blogs go through. Anything fishy?

    see below:

Your request was denied because of its content categorization: “Pornography;Shopping;Sports/Recreation;Travel”

I can assure there's nothing fishy with the site, but I haven't always owned the domain name so maybe it was banned prior to me acquiring it. My dad has the same trouble when trying to access it from work.
