I think it also helps if you've been to a place before (which we have with Grenada) and know exactly what you're likely to need. As a LIP, you generally control what it is you do on a daily basis as you don't need to go into an office to work, so if you don't happen to have smart enough clothes to go to x restaurant, then you just don't go...unless you're prepared to buy more clothes whilst you travel.
