Day 2 of Budget LIP Caribbean Living

The cost of living in Grenada is variable, as I’ve mentioned before. Today’s budget (of EC$50 / US$20) was exceeded because we had a bit of a bigger shop at the supermarket.

Local Grenadian Foods

Here are some of our favourite, locally grown (organic) foods in Grenada…
1) Fresh coconut water & jelly every morning – may look revolting but it’s delicious and very, very good for you!

Day 1 of Budget LIP Caribbean Living

So far today, we’ve spent:
- EC$9 (approx. US$3.60/£1.80) on 3 fresh, young coconuts for breakfast (you drink the delicious water then get the friendly coconut man – who saves us special ones – to cut them open for you so you can eat the flesh.)
- EC$10 on 2 huge, freshly caught tuna steaks for lunch
